The first time I ran to mom for help. Jack had jumped off the dock in Dunkirk and cut his foot very bad. I rode my bike to the Law office where she worked. She did not hesitate to leave work and rush to my brothers' aid. I am almost positive that is the moment she knew she had become a mom. She stood as strong as she could through the years. I am most positive that the good Lord guided her ways. Although everything she saw did not help her to be happy all the time, she continued with His guidance. She knew deaf ears could not see and corrective lenses could not hear. Her trials were many, I feel because of these trials she had the desire to uplift others. May we all understand what she has done and feel blessed for seeing more clearly what the good Lord can do.

I am sorry to hear of Dorothy’s passing . My condolences and prayers to her family and friends. I got to know her when I served at Holy Cross from 1996-2001. She was a faithful active member and good person.
