This was the last time we saw Opi (November of 2017). I loved watching him admire his great-grandchildren, Layla and Cayden. I'll never forget him looking at Layla and in awe of what a beautiful young lady she has turned out to be. Layla reminds me of her Opi in a lot of ways. I'll miss all of his stories that I loved listening to so much! Opi, you are missed so much already. We love you!

Uncle Sonny, as we knew him, taught me much, including how to back up my bets without betting against myself. A strategy that has prepared my for far more than the horse track, that he loved.
He had an amazing ability to read people and once counciled my teenage friend, who was going through a terrible time, possibly saving his life.
Sonny helped my dad secure work on the railroad, where he made a fine living.
Honored to have been in his home a few years ago, where he shared wonderful stories of his youth during post depression era and war years.
Sending our love to Aunt Margot, Cousins Thomas & Theresa and their families.
See you at the finish line!
