Johnny R. Evans,
Age 34, of Portland, NY passed away unexpectedly, April 4, 2024 at Saint Vincent’s Memorial Hospital, Erie, PA surrounded by family. He was born in Dunkirk, NY on September 3, 1989, the son of Lisa Gilbert and Edgar Evans Jr. and bonus parents Donald and Ronda Hebner.
Johnny was the husband of Katie Evans; brother of Jimmy (Jamie) Diabo, Tanya Evans, Edgar Evans III and Lynn Evans. He was the loving father of Julissa, Jaelyn, Kiarah, Johnny Jr. and Lacie Evans, stepfather of; Marcus, Dominick, Jacklyn, and Kassidy Cettell ; grandfather of Oddyssey Hunzinger, River Cettell and Braelynn Anne-Marie Cettell; he is also survived by paternal grandparents Edgar (Pat) Evans Sr., and Ann Mcnesby, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Caroline Gilbert.
In Johnny’s spare time he enjoyed spending time with his children, listening to music and singing along, watching scary movies and cracking jokes with his wife and kids.
He will be laid to rest on Friday, April 12 at 4pm at the Stockton Greenwood Cemetery, Stockton, NY in a private service surrounded by immediate family. Following interment services family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at 5pm in the Stockton Fire Hall, 7243 Rt. 380, Stockton, NY
