I just now learned of Rich’s passing. It was 45 years ago this summer that I worked under him for the summer at Litelab/Sandrock Group. I considered him a fair and amenable person. I remember one job in particular where the inside of a wind turbine nacelle (for WTF) needed an epoxy paint coating…a very unpleasant job. He could’ve easily just assigned me to do it alone but he climbed in and helped me. I was impressed that he didn’t ask others to do what he wouldn’t do himself. My condolences to the family.
